Most football training camps in Spain are in Barcelona, Madrid or on the Mediterranean coast, and most are built around big groups. If what you want is to genuinely improve as a player, with a coach who knows your name and corrects you in every drill, there is another option: a week of individual coaching in Gijón, in northern Spain.
⚽ Want to experience it? Our High Performance Football Week in Gijón is an individual football training camp with accommodation and full board, for players aged 15+ from Spain and abroad.
Why northern Spain
Asturias has milder summer temperatures than the south, a calm city by the sea, and a deep football culture. Gijón is home to Real Sporting de Gijón and to our academy, where we train players every week.
What makes this camp different
- Individual and small-group coaching, with goals and drills adapted to your position and level.
- A physical assessment on day one, the same one we use with the players in our MVP-90 programme.
- Pitch, gym and classroom sessions, morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday.
- A plan to take home: on the last day we review your week and give you clear recommendations.

A typical day
A pitch or gym session in the morning, lunch and rest, and another pitch session or a classroom session in the afternoon: tactical analysis, applied sports psychology or match preparation. Not every session is physical. Alternating learning, practice and rest is part of the plan.
Questions to ask before booking any football camp
- How many players will there be in each session, and how many sessions are one-to-one?
- Who are the coaches and what is their experience?
- What exactly is included: accommodation, meals, transfers, kit, laundry?
- How is the programme adapted to my position, age and level?
- What will I take home at the end of the week?
Coaching in English, and a Spanish immersion
We can coach you in English: part of our team, including professional coach Josu Uribe, speaks it. At the same time, you will hear football coached in Spanish, so the week is also an immersive way to improve your Spanish or start learning it.
Getting to Gijón

- Full board, from Monday lunch to Saturday breakfast.
